Every show at The Little Theatre is cast with volunteers who choose to give their time and talents to the performing arts in our community.
Walk in.
Read for it.
Auditions are announced ahead of each production and generally occur on the Sunday and Monday following the opening of the prior show. Arrive early to fill out any necessary forms and plan to stay for the entire evening.
What to prepare. For a musical, come prepared with a one-to-two-minute cut of a song that matches the style of the show, and bring a backing track or sheet music. An accompanist is provided for those using sheet music, and no tracks with vocals are accepted. Expect cold readings from the script, and musicals typically include a group dance audition. Each show's audition notice spells out the specifics. ALWAYS check the individual show page or our Facebook before auditions.
What to wear. Wear comfortable clothing and shoes. Flip-flops are not recommended, and if there is a dance portion, bring a pair of shoes you can move in.
Who we cast. Roles range widely with each show, from children to adults of every age. Auditioners under 18 need parental consent when a show carries mature themes, and any onstage intimacy is supported by intimacy coordination to ensure all actors feel safe and comfortable.
Callbacks. Callbacks are held only if they are needed to make casting decisions. Each show's audition notice lists the callback date.

- Oct 11 & 12, 2026A Christmas Carol (opens Dec 4). Mixed ages including children. Carol singing welcome.
- Dec 6 & 7, 2026Little Shop of Horrors (opens Feb 19). Adult ensemble. Singing audition required.
- Feb 21 & 22, 2027Dial M for Murder (opens Apr 16). Six adults. Cold reading.
- Apr 18 & 19, 2027Anastasia (opens Jun 18). Adult ensemble. Vocal audition with dane and cold read.
- Jun 20 & 21, 2027Captain Dick Flint and the Orb of Ara Kem (opens Aug 20). One-weekend run.
